A really great beer: full, dark, frothy and smooth (like all Weihenstephaner beers) but has about the alcohol level (7.7%) as an IPA without the gross taste (or aftertaste).

Pliny the Younger
A friend shared some Pliny the Younger yesterday with me, a new beer offered every year at Russian River, in Northern California, just one time per year. People wait for hours in line to try it. Although an IPA, it was pretty good, especially with chocolate.
Ayninger, Oktober Fest-Marzen
A tasty, light, frothy golden marzen at 5.8%. A good way to end a long day.
Weihenstephaner: Festbier, A Brief Review
Hands down, one of the best beers I have ever had, aside from the Original Premium. A seasonal, celebratory Weihenstephaner “fest” beer. A beautiful golden color, light, not bitter and smooth. Strong recommend.
Weihenstephaner: Kristall Weissbier
A tasty, light wheat beer that’s a little frothy but not too hoppy and 5.4%: a perfect Sunday afternoon relaxation beverage
